so, rush is in full swing and i've been loving it. it's my last swing at it (although only my second), and i'm going to enjoy it as much as i can. there are a lot of awesome freshmen out there...and quite a few on speed 2 as well. holy crap...i've got me some work to do, and hopefully some freshmen to introduce to pike!
we've been doing some great events already for rush. aside form the normal events (informals...), we had one night where we just threw around the pigskin and some tag football. it was awesome! i met a lot of great freshmen, and i sincerely hope to meet more of them in events like that! plenty of other events are in the works - and i see a great year ahead - one appropriate for my last.
school is ridiculous. i've got so much crap going on - homework (pretty consistently), labs (3 a week), and projects (3 or so - one going to run the whole year, another could run that long as well). i'm enjoying it as much as i can, but i'm getting a bit old to be running around until 2 or 4am and then waking up to go to class at 7. there's not much that i can say aside from that...i think i need to prioritize my time a bit more. that, or just don't do as much...
alex-lo was in town this weekend along with stu ford - what great alumni. i played some pool and eventually made my way to IHOP for some eggs and pancakes. holy crap. i love breakfast food. i love hanging out with my crazy brothers even more...it's a shame that i am mildly crazy in comparison to them...but someone has to retain the events for later tellings.
right now i'm looking for alternatives to growing up. maybe go back-packing for a couple of months. maybe go to grad school. maybe just becoming some bumb that lives in the house but isn't going to school *cough*edmonson*cough*. alas, i don't know what my future holds in the slightest. i've been thinking about it a lot (as much as my schedule allows), and i don't know. it makes me want to just stop time to revel in what i will miss - but i forgot how to stop time so long ago. i guess i will just mellow out from here on, and slay a few monsters of my own instead...it's a shame that we live in a society that is so economically progressive. i bet most people never even know they didn't live..
well..i've got a magnitude of work to do, and chapter's tonight, which means one thing: OPEN RUSH MONDAYS! football with the rushees. hell yeah!
