so, break? it was nice...however, i'm really glad that i don't have to drive anymore...for a while.
i spent well in excess of 24 hours in my car driving...but to give a recap of my trip:
first, i left friday to Cleveland to visit my brother luke. we ate some food, and then saw sin city, which i honestly did not find that great. sure, the cinematography was great, that i won't deny. i enjoyed the colors and skewed grayscale as many as anyone else. however, i think that there was a bit of substance lacking. was it worth $8? maybe...but other films i saw over break kicked so much more ass than it...which i'll talk about later, of course.
the next morning, i checked out his place of work, which was cool. the next morning, my mom stopped by dropping off luke's two kittens, who are very entertaining. and around noon, i was taking off, and by that time, i was sure of one thing though: ohio sucks. and so does sleet.
8 hours later, i was in Richmond, VA, talking to my other brother Matt and his wife Gina. there was a lot of time to do nothing. which was good.
sunday morning, we went off to see some french films [aka shorts]. 6 films in the period of 2 hours. each being more entertaining and enjoyable than the previously mentioned sin shity. my personal favorite of the night was the story of the crabs...only because the director was completely oblivious to everything wrong about the movie that made it so great. an example is that a crab's legs don't grow back...trust me. at least half of them were notablty better than sc
then there was a bunch of stuff that we did. not too much of ti was too great...i ate some weird foods [they are vegetarians], and then i drove back to Cleveland. Then to "home". then to TH, the land of the wretched.
that's all i've got. i'm sure that i have more interesting things to say, but in all honesty, i can't recall them all too easily. later on, ted.
