yo...things are busy here. and challenging. and new.
so far this week, i've done quite a bit. rushing about every day for over an hour, doing my normal load of classes, helping other guys in classes and anything else, and getting started on projects. and i sleep [sometimes].
i haven't been doing too bad in any of my classes yet. circuits and systems is easy, cs220 blows because the curriculum doesn't exist, comparch is ok [but the test that i took on thursday essentially left me bleeding...estimated score: 80], and disco is...well, disco. it's kinda tough, but it's more abstract than i am used to. the test we had on thursday wasn't too tough...but there's always a chance that you'll forget a "!" or forget what a "contrapositive" is. but we won't talk about that...
tonight was the traditional pike scavenger hunt. it was fun...i'm not sure if it was as fun as last year's because i didn't make it out to the hunt [i forget what i was doing in its stead...but i don't know if i even knew about its happening]. anyway, J^2, sophomore mike [who is "rushing" pike...i'm not sure what's going on yet with him, but he's a great guy], and myself took off on a mission to find 228 items. yeah. 228. [in the end i think we got 50 / 60 of them...which isn't too bad for 6 hours work]. we picked up a freshman that i had met from speed 3 earlier because we needed 2 rushees and 2 brothers. with that quota satisfied, we went on a lot of random missions, getting things from thongs with signatures and rubbings of fireman's badges to random odd objects and girls wearing capris [we got 7 to come back to the pike house...yeah! believe it or not, we did it. 4 of them stayed for a while and chilled with a bunch of guys]. it was fun...i got to meet a few more rushees and also get away from the school work. yeah...
