i have to admit. i haven't been writing in here nearly as much as i should. for what reasons? well...school is a big one. so is (sadly enough) UT2004 - a video game [but a damn good/addicting one at that]. there's also the fraternity and my outside activities. i can't say too much about not having spare time. it's one of those things that i have, but i always choose to do something instead (like UT or hang out with keacher/tyler). altogether, though, things are going great here.
so, what entry of mine would truly be complete without me talking about school? so i'll fix that now: i got an 89 on my electrical systems test which made me giddy...i should have failed that thing in my mind [i had slightly more than half the right answers on the test and half the methods i used weren't right...at all!]. so then, the other classes are going great as well. i think i aced the fluids exam that we had on tuesday this week. it was easy...way too easy. rhetoric and comp is going alright. the teacher is a trip and a half. probably the second english teacher that i've had that makes me think "wow...what a cool person". the other one was mrs. smith from high school...who, despite being a religious zealot of some sort, accepted my writing and more often than not used to write things like "i'd think about this, but it might crush my fragile world" at the ends of essays [ok, slightly exaggerating there. she used to write stuff like "oh! deep..." and such; the best part though is that you could just picture her saying that when reading it!]. oh well...i suppose i'm in too good of a mood today. i'll deal though...
so, today and the last two days have been probably the best weather that i can recall in my life. a big factor of that has to do with the fact that i am in college. the other factors mainly were the exhilirating winds and the gorgeous skies. not to mention the temperature as well.
anyway, tuesday the keacher got back at me [finally!] in response to my initial pranks on him [stealing his hat and most of his room...y'know. classical stuff]. so, i come back from spanish and on my way to the dorm, pat, one of the guys on my floor, says to me: "ted, you better get to your room soon...someone's waiting for you." I responded: "huh? fuck!". i already knew it was keacher...because he's been talking too much trash recently about pranking me...so, anyway, i make it to my room and schue, j^2, and keacher (all pikes) were hanging out nearby. all of my shit in my room was saranwrapped. holy shit...everything. it was about 7 rolls keacher said. it took me about an hour of half-ass working to tear it all apart. two full trash bags worth. i might have pictures on my public drive later (it depends when schue gets them off his camera). keacher keeps on emebellishing on the fact that there is one thing that i'm missing with the saranwrap, but it mustn't be important because i haven't noticed it yet.
this week i began to form daedalus. right now i have a good structure on the demon that will be. the price tag will be a bit of a chunk, but i can deal with it [i hope!]. it's really going to rely on the fact that i am going to work a lot this summer...we'll see, though.
tomorrow is going to be the relay for life. it starts sometime around 3 pm and goes on until 8 am or so sunday. i'm one of the guys on pike's team...it's going to be fun, but i really wish that i didn't have to do it for that long. i mean, i'll walk for four hours no problem (like until 7 pm). but i don't want to be there for 17 hours! oh well...the almighty backfish will be there as well as kenny cox. good times for sure. plus, it is for a good cause.
this week was the midpoint. the midpoint of the final term of my first year of classes. sounds like a lot when i say it like that...but i know that in reality the adventure that is college has just started. for now, i'm going to continue researching motherboards and hard disk drives. oh yay!
